Te Manawa has been built and designed to be a community hub for learning, creating and connecting. The facility utilises many different materials to create a sustainable and unique design, with glass playing a central role.
This project was one of Woods Glass's most diverse builds with plenty of different aspects of the build creating unique challenges. Some of these were:
- Yellow Vanceva glass wall
- X2 Cantilever glass balustrade systems
- Glass skylight
- Frameless glass bifold door system
- Red Vanceva glass stair
- Frameless Glass wall assembly with glass fin support
- Glass internal partition and doors
- External glass frit canopy
This resulted in Woods working on multiple interfaces concurrently to ensure we delivered on time while achieving a world class finish all whilst battling the elements on a site prone to high winds.
