ChromaPane is a painted glass that is ideal to be used in Internal partitions in offices and Institutional buildings in order to add an aesthetic element to the interior design of a building.
We recommend using in combination with low iron glass (UltraVis) in order to get a truer colour.
More recent trends have seen an increase of back painted glass often known as “splashbacks” from their use in kitchens. However painted glass is used for complete bathroom lining and even for kitchen doors.
ChromaPane has an almost unlimited range of colours and effects including metallic and printed glass, so designers can go crazy with special effects. Some painted glasses have been used externally but the UV stability must be checked.
ChromaPane can come as monolithic, toughened or laminate so can be used in high impact areas. All glass must be engineered to specific code and design. Many different colours are available so please contact Woods Glass to find out more information.
Normally when cleaning glass, a vinegar-based glass cleaner or mild dish soap and water with a soft, lint-free cloth or paper products is recommended. A squeegee or soft cloth may be carefully used to dry the glass and help avoid water spots.
It is not recommended to use petroleum-based cleaners or solvents as they can streak the glass and weaken the seal between the glass and frame. Avoid washing in direct sunlight to reduce streaking on the glass.
Never use razor blades, steel wool, putty knives or abrasive pads as they may damage the glass, particularly on toughened glass.
ChromaPane is manufactured in a large variety of sizes in order to minimise loss due to cutting. ChromaPane can be used in a Laminate combination for safety in high impact areas. Many different thicknesses and colours are available and curved and shaped glass is also available. We can provide colours from Resene, Dulux, RAL, Pantone and metallic ranges. Please contact Woods Glass to discuss special requirements.
We recommend using Masterspec 4614WG Woods Glass Specialty Glazing when specifying this system.
